When Jesus Culture EP was released on iTunes 2 weeks ago, it immediately went to top #10, then top #9 on the top chart! Pretty amazing huh! And of course the music industry also found it amazing! and scratching their head wondering how did that happen? The review from soundloft just made me laugh so hard and wanna praise the lord on what he can bring! Here is what the review said:
Today is Tuesday, which means all the new releases come out today. So like every other Tuesday, we went over to iTunes to see what new albums were doing well. Having a look at the top 10, plenty of names we expected to be present, were. Drake? Yep, he’s #1. Eminem? Yep, his pre-order is #2. Christina Aguilera, Jack Johnson, Glee? Yep, all there. But what’s this? Who is this artist at #10? Jesus Culture? How come we’ve never heard of them? What label are they on?
Well as it turns out, Jesus Culture is not so much a band, but a movement lead by die hard Christians, looking to spread the word of their religion. Have a look for yourself at their website which clearly states they are “a new breed of emerging revivalists.” And the EP entitled My Passion (only 3 songs) is self released. So obviously this bodes the question, how is this possible? Where is the big industry machine pushing this along? How is this currently selling more than Lady Gaga, B.o.B., Lady Antebellum and Ke$ha on iTunes? Where is the radio play? The marketing? How is it that their Myspace doesn’t even make a mention of the new EP or have any of it’s songs posted?
Nothing. We’ve got no answers here. But one things is for sure… there’s gonna be a lot of industry insiders scratching their heads when they see the final sales figures this week.

God is taking over the arena of entertainment industry, not just in Hollywood, but Australia and Asia, see what Jaeson Ma has been doing these past couple years, pop stars in Hong Kong and Taiwan are giving their lives to Jesus, broadcasting their faith on TV or radio. We've learned the idea of household or your influence circle (hi repies), just think about what kind of impact these people have and now many lives they can touch.
That's just so exciting!! yoohoo!!! Go Jesus! Hum now we know God is really moving in the arena of business and entertainment, then what's next!
